Theft suspect behind bars, charged with stealing $10,000 of jewelry

A suspect accused of stealing more than $10,000 dollars worth of jewelry is now behind bars in Lubbock.

Authorities told KCBD's Midland affiliate that Camrin Eckert visited an Odessa jewelry store last week. He asked to see a $6,000 bracelet. And when the sales person let him hold it, he took off.

He's also accused of stealing a $7,400 ring from Myers and Farrer in Lubbock on June 14th.

Investigators said a print discovered at the Odessa store led them to Eckert.

He's currently held on a $4,500 bond.
