Former Shallowater coach charged with improper relationship

SHALLOWATER, TX (KCBD) - A former Shallowater coach and teacher is now charged with having an improper relationship with a student.

An indictment against Jeffrey Richardson, 48, was unsealed on Thursday.

He's accused of sending a text to a female student asking to engage in sexual contact.

Jail records show Richardson was booked in and released from the Lubbock County Detention Center on Thursday.

He reportedly resigned from from the Shallowater ISD earlier this month.
