Third person arrested for selling synthetic marijuana

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - A third person has been arrested for selling synthetic marijuana in Lubbock.

Jail records show that 39-year-old Jason Armstrong was booked in and released from the Lubbock County Detention Center on Monday.

Armstrong works with Elemental Trading Company in Lubbock.

He's charged with deceptive trade practice.

Last week, authorities arrested two other local shop owners on the same charge.

The arrests follow a June 6 notice by Lubbock District Attorney Matt Powell that those who continued to sell synthetic marijuana in Lubbock would be prosecuted.
