(WMC) - A FedEx employee died after suffering an injury at the Memphis World Hub Wednesday morning.

FedEx identifies the victim as 19-year-old Chandler Warren. According to his Facebook page, Warren worked two jobs and was a student at Southwest Community College.

Memphis Police Department and the airport police both confirm they are not investigating. FedEx is calling the man's death an accident.

Tennessee Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) says it is on the case, but it could be six months before the investigation is complete.

Memphis Fire Department says it got the call about the accident around 2:53 a.m. An ambulance took one patient to Regional Medical Center in critical condition. FedEx later confirmed that he died.

In an email statement, FedEx Sr. Communications Specialist Katie Wassmer said, "Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends during this difficult time. We are working with authorities as they investigate the accident."

Tennessee OSHA says it was notified of the accident within the mandatory time frame of eight hours.

Investigators spent their day on the scene but cannot elaborate on what they found until they are finished with their investigation.

Tennessee OSHA says one employee died at the facility in 2005, but it is qualified as an indirect fatality. The employee injured his knee while unloading a truck and later died of an infection.
