FLORENCE, KY (FOX19) -

A five week investigation has led to the arrest of Robert Legner, 34, of Florence, KY for an array of violations concerning sexual offenses having to do with minors.

The investigation divulged Legner communicating with minors via social media apps including Kik, Instagram and Facebook in a sexual manner and enticing them to send him nude photos of themselves.

In one case, Legner provided a 15-year-old boy with cigarettes, a cell phone and rides in his car.

A search of his electronic equipment revealed that he had several hundred photos and videos of child pornography.

The Boone County Sheriff's investigators charged Legner with possession of matter portraying sexual performance by a minor, distribution of matter portraying a sexual performance by a minor, unlawful transaction with a minor (illegal sexual activity), unlawful transaction with a minor and unlawful use of electronic means within the Commonwealth to induce a minor to engage in sexual or other prohibited activities.
