Texas Tech sells out season tickets, first time in history

LUBBOCK, Texas – The anticipation of the 2014 Texas Tech Football season has led to yet another attendance milestone as all season tickets have been sold for the first time in school history.

A record 38,502 Red Raider fans have made the season commitment in anticipation of Coach Kingsbury’s second year and arguably the best home schedule in the history of Jones AT&T Stadium.  The previous season ticket record was set in 2010 when 32,227 seats were sold and this year’s total is 7,000 more than last season.

“This is a tremendous achievement from the best fans in the country,” Head Coach Kliff Kingsbury said.  “I want to thank all the fans who have made the commitment to invest in our program.  There is nothing like game day at Jones AT&T Stadium and our team and coaches feed off your enthusiasm.”

Fans that did not make the season ticket investment and were looking to purchase only individual game tickets, need to be advised of the following procedures:

  • Individual game tickets will be offered exclusively to Red Raider Club members ($100-plus) and current season ticket holders.  These tickets are the result of returns from the visiting teams and are based upon availability.
  • Due to limited inventory for the Arkansas, West Virginia and Texas games, Texas Tech does not expect individual seats to be made available to the general public (including non RRC members and non-season ticket holders).  A limited number of seats for the Central Arkansas, Kansas and Oklahoma games will be available for purchase to the general public in August.
  • Red Raider Club members and season ticket holders will receive communication from the athletics department in regards to purchasing the additional individual game tickets.  All remaining inventory will go on sale to the general public in August.  Below are dates in which Red Raider Club members and season ticket holders will be allowed to purchase available individual game tickets:
July 14 – 15 – RRC $4,500-plus

July 16 – 17 – RRC $1,500-plus

 July 18 – RRC $750-plus

 July 21 – RRC $350-plus

 July 22 – RRC $100-plus / Double T Varsity Club Members

July 23 – Season Ticket Holders

Additional Parking Options Announced For 2014 Season

With the sellout of season tickets, season parking is more important that ever.  Due to the high demand for parking, the Red Raider Club will be offering three new donor parking options:

  • R-3 – Located immediately south of the Texas Tech Library
    • Price: $100 RRC donation plus $125 permit fee
  • R-5 – Located east of the Media & Communication building
    • Price: $100 RRC donation plus $125 permit fee
  • R-7 – Located immediately south of the Administration building
    • Price: $225 RRC donation plus $125 permit fee
Season parking remains available at Raider Park, United Supermarkets Arena (USA) and the John Walker Soccer Complex (S1).   Fans are encouraged to purchase season parking (donor parking, Raider Park, United Supermarkets Arena, John Walker Soccer Complex) in an effort to make game day arrival as convenient as possible.  Individual parking will be available in the above lots beginning Monday, Aug. 4, based upon availability.
