I Wanted A Cat And More Like That is a humorous and playful volume that encourages children to love reading and have fun while learning.
Virginia City, VA (PRWEB) July 10, 2014
From the creative and highly imaginative mind of retired educator, Margaret Thiele, comes a delightful and humorous book of ABCs and animals in I Wanted A Cat And More Like That. Illustrated by Kelly Estrella, this colorful volume aims to teach children the alphabets in a fun and exciting way.
At the beginning of the book, a playful rhyme introduces an uncommon animal which leads mama to explain why the child cannot have the desired pet. Mama is very in charge in sharing to her child the animals from A to Z and explaining to her why she cannot have them for a pet. The book also showcases fascinating illustrations that will catch childrens attention. It is also sufficiently repetitive that children can easily learn to sight-read some rhymes in the book and prepare them for phonics and how to use patterns in words to decode them.
The author hopes that this book will help children and adults realize the importance of having fun while learning. I Wanted A Cat is a quick read offering fun and excitement that showcases gems of characterization, mood and dialogue. This book represents a unique literary form that blends stories with art that makes children and children at hearts chuckle with excitement and pure delight.
