Chris Buttars' new book explores historical mysteries and beyond through a sci-fi lens

WEST JORDAN, Utah (PRWEB) July 11, 2014

What do the Lost Ten Tribes of Israel, flying saucers and nuclear war have in common? They are all part of the exciting sci-fi thriller, The Tribes, by D. Chris Buttars.

Buttars blends present-day facts with the what-ifs of science fiction to explain some of the thrilling mysteries humanity has contemplated throughout time. Centered on the historical story of the ten tribes of Israel that went missing centuries ago, the plot takes readers on an exciting ride from the first page.

I wanted to write a sci-fi novel that would attract all ages and was not full of profanity, immorality, or monsters that had no connection to reality, Buttars said. Everything in The Tribes is or could become a reality in our future.

The Tribes brings readers face to face with adventure and fantasy without vulgar language, sex scenes or impossible scenarios. Focus is instead placed on the relationships and brotherhood of the all living things.

Besides generating an interest in the Lost Ten Tribes of Israel, Buttars ultimate goal is to inspire readers to cultivate their own imagination and think beyond current reality.

I want readers imagination to be on fire, Buttars said. Imagination is most often the key to inspiration which pushes us to think beyond the present moment.
