LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - A Lubbock man charged with taking a family hostage and shooting at police is facing more charges.

A grand jury indicted Ruben Salazar, 22, on two counts of aggravated robbery on Tuesday.

He's accused of robbing two convenience stores in the early morning hours of June 19.

That evening, police received a tip that Salazar was at 45th and Avenue P.

When officers responded, they say Salazar shot at them, then broke into a home and took the people inside hostage.

Police arrested Salazar him a brief stand-off.

A grand jury indicted him last week for burglary and assaulting a public servant.
