LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -

One person is in custody after a short police chase in south Lubbock.

Police say 35-year-old Jeremy McDonald was traveling east on a stolen motorcycle on the South Loop access road around 1 p.m. when he realized two undercover police vehicles were signaling him to pull over.

They say McDonald then turned left on University where he lost control of the motorcycle and hit a curb. The motorcycle slid down the road before stopping in the median.

Police say McDonald tried to flee the scene on foot but was found a short time later.

He was taken into custody and transported to the hospital with minor injuries.
