There was no turkey, cranberry, or pumpkin pie at University Medical Center, but there was plenty of Thanksgiving cheer. The Texas Tech men's basketball team visited patients at UMC Thursday.
They brought along autographed posters and other Tech memorabilia for their smallest fans. Tech player Ronald Ross says the visit helps put a smile on the kids' faces and his.
"You know, we're not able to be home with our families, so there's nothing better to try and be home with other people that will enjoy us," says Ross.
The team enjoyed a lunch at UMC after their visit with the patients. The Lady Raiders visited the patients on Wednesday.
