Police: Suspect captured after Whataburger robbery

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - Police say one person is in custody after an overnight robbery at Whataburger.

Officers responded to a call concerning the robbery of an individual at the Whataburger at 2412 9th Street at 11:45 p.m.

They say the caller told police that the suspect was armed with a knife and fled the scene on foot.

Police say the suspect, 53-year-old Paul Utterback, was located in the 1200 block of University Avenue.

They say Utterback attempted to evade officers on foot but was detained and a knife was located in his pocket.
