SNYDER, TX (KCBD) -

Funeral services have been set for a toddler hit and killed in Central Lubbock over the weekend.

A prayer service will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday for Mikayla Leyva. Mikayla was 2 years old.

The service will take place in her hometown of Snyder, at the Wright Colonial Funeral Home Chapel.

A graveside service will take place at the Snyder Cemetery Wednesday morning at 10 a.m.

Leyva died on Saturday after being hit by an SUV at 23rd Street and Avenue J in Lubbock. A small memorial has now been set up near that intersection, with people leaving flowers and stuffed animals.

Police tell us a 14-year-old was driving the SUV that hit Leyva. The investigation is still in progress.

A case will then be presented to the Lubbock County District Attorney and a grand jury will decided whether criminal charges should be filed.
