Comet Cleaners vandalized by child with air gun

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) - The owner of Comet Cleaners at 98th and Indiana got a scare on Tuesday afternoon when his business was vandalized.

Ron Caffey says someone shot an air gun through the front door and hit an employee in the back.

There is security camera in place, but the incident made him consider some new measures.

"We have security. We have cameras and an alarm system. We're going to add cameras over the parking lot after this, just to be safe."

But shortly after Caffey told us about his new security plans, the perpetrator came in and confessed.

The owner who tells us a mother and child came into the store and admitted that the 10-year-old child fired the shot, saying he was aiming at a bird.
