High speed chase comes to dramatic end at 36th & A

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -

A high speed chase came to a dramatic end at 36th and Avenue A on Sunday afternoon when the vehicle crashed into a utility pole.

Officials say that a deputy attempted to stop what he believed was a stolen SUV around 4 p.m. 

They say the chase involved speeds in excess of 100 miles per hour.

The driver was taken into custody and transported to UMC with non-life threatening injuries.
