LPD Officer Not to Face Charges in Shooting Death

Pablo Ponciano Pablo Ponciano

A Lubbock Police officer will *not* face charges in the shooting death of a 41-year-old man.

Pablo Ponciano died October 25th from gunshot wounds to the abdomen. Officer Kyle King said he fired at Ponciano when Ponciano started walking toward him with three knives.

On Tuesday, a Lubbock grand jury declined to indict Officer King for the shooting which occurred in the 2300 block of Auburn.
