Superintendent Phil Warren announces retirement from Shallowater ISD

Phil Warren, Superintendent of SISD, has announced his plans for retirement at the end of the 2014-2015 school year.

Warren, who has been with the district for 14 years, addressed board members on Monday, July 21st, 2014, and presented a resignation letter. At the meeting, board members approved Warren's retirement.

In his resignation letter, Warren states, "It has been an honor and a privilege to work these 40 years in the public schools of Texas as a coach, teacher, principal and superintendent." He continues, "When I began my career, my intent was to do what was best for kids. As I begin this last year of service to the students of Shallowater ISD, my commitment remains to continue to do what's best for kids."

Warren is looking forward to making his retirement from Shallowater ISD a smooth and positive transition.

In his letter, Warren says, "I look forward to this year of collaboration as we work towards the common goal of providing the best education possible to Shallowater ISD students."

Candidates, once selected, will be announced to the public.
