The Lamesa City Council is now looking to appoint new members to their economic development boards.
In a six to one vote Tuesday night, council members voted to remove all members from the Lamesa Economic Development Corporation and the Lamesa Economic Alliance Project.
"There was no specific reason or specific issue that caused this, just a general sentiment that a change was needed," Lamesa Mayor Dave Nix said.
Nix tells us they expect to appoint new members to the boards at a specially called meeting next Tuesday.
