Cavs, Lady Cavs earn sweep in home openers

ALBANY, GA (WALB) - The Darton State soccer teams each picked up wins in their 2014 home openers Wednesday night over Georgia Military College.

The Lady Cavaliers had little trouble with the Lady Dogs in a 11-0 rout.

Sophomore Bri Lemerise scored five goals for the Lady Cavs, who were in cruise control most of the night.

The Cavaliers needed a little more time to put the game away, but moved on with a 4-2 win.

The game was knotted at 1-1 at half, but Matheus Ayrolla added his second goal of the game to put the Cavs ahead.

Darwin Espinal and Kevyn Mcfarelane added second half goals.

The Cavaliers are now 1-0, while the Lady Cavs are 2-0.
