On Thursday, August 28, the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) will close the northbound US 87 exit ramp to Woodrow Road (CR 7600) to give work crews room to safely remove concrete traffic barrier.
The ramp will be closed to traffic at 8:30 a.m. and re-open by 2:30 p.m. the same day.
Northbound US 87 motorists needing to access westbound Woodrow Road should use north Loop 493 to connect with Woodrow.
Then next Tuesday, Sept. 2, TxDOT will close the same northbound US 87 exit ramp to traffic for an extended period to safely build the new exit ramp and frontage road approaching Woodrow Road.
Work to construct the exit ramp is expected to take four weeks to complete. Again, northbound US 87 motorists needing to access westbound Woodrow Road should use north Loop 493 to connect with Woodrow.
TxDOT continues to remind drivers that the area remains an active construction zone and asks motorists to drive with caution through the work zone for their safety and the safety of the workers.
