LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -

Lubbock police have now released surveillance video from inside the Subway that was robbed at gunpoint on Tuesday afternoon. It happened at the Subway at 4923 34th, right across from Coronado High School just before 3 p.m.

Police are searching for a Hispanic male, 5'8, approximately 170 pounds in a white, long sleeve shirt, blue jeans, a red Texas Rangers cap, and black sunglasses. Police say the suspect was dropped off in a subcompact car just prior to the robbery.

We spoke with Sam Oliver, the witness who made the call to 911 on Tuesday.

"Well I couldn't believe it," Oliver said. "I thought it was a joke. He kept on and on. He was really desperate. He might have been on something."
