Traffic Alert: Lane closure on Milwaukee Avenue for road work

Provided by the Texas Department of Transportation

The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) is scheduled to place concrete Thursday night, Sept. 4, on Milwaukee Avenue as part of Phase 5A construction of the Marsha Sharp Freeway.

The work will require crews to reduce northbound Milwaukee Avenue down to one-lane of traffic.

The lane closure will begin at 9 p.m. and reopen to traffic by 7 a.m. Friday, Sept. 5.

Motorists should expect delays and are asked to drive with caution through the work zone for their safety and the safety of the workers.

Work will take place weather permitting.
