This week's Pay It Forward started out near the Canyon West Shopping Center near the Marsha Sharp Freeway and Milwaukee Avenue.
With all of the construction in the area, we thought we would try to make someone's day.
A few people passed our sign without thinking twice about it. They had shopping on their mind, but it didn't take long for someone to spot us.
Miguel Arroyos was heading to lunch when he saw our sign and turned around. Miguel approached us and knew exactly how Pay It Forward worked.
Miguel decided to help out a co-worker. Miguel chose Dan VanOsdale as this week's recipient of Pay It Forward.
Miguel told us why he wanted to help Dan out.
"He's about to move out of town in October. I know he could use a little more money."
Miguel had to figure out a way to get Dan outside since he was working. Dan walked inside the business and told him that he needed help with his car.
When Miguel came back, Dan was with him and he was completely stunned.
Miguel counted out $300 to Dan. Dan couldn't believe it.
"Is there any catch to it?" Dan asked.
We explained that there was nothing expected in return and told him how Pay It Forward works.
"This is amazing! I don't know what to say." Dan told us. "Thank you so much. I really appreciate this."
Dan told us he will use to money to help with moving expenses so he can be closer to his children in Indiana.
