Police Search for Clues in Convenience Store Robbery

NewsChannel 11 talked with Lubbock police Monday about the latest on a violent convenience store robbery. We learned police are looking for a man with gold capped teeth and are ready to begin questioning "persons of interest" in regard to a Town & Country robbery that happened last Monday. Look at the frightening images captured on surveillance video to the side of your screen. The first shows a masked man dressed in dark clothing entering the store at 1720 East 50th.

In the next photo the criminal is choking the clerk while pointing a gun directly toward her. You can see the clerk desperately reaching for her throat and the barrel of the gun. Police reports say the clerk was hit on the back of the head prior to this picture.

The robber threatened to kill the clerk and forced her to open two cash registers. He took $67 from one register and $55 from another. He then demanded the clerk open the safe. She told him she could only get small amounts at a time and complied. When the robber went to take the money, the clerk ran from the store and called 911 from a nearby fire station.

If you know anything at all about this robbery or the man in the photos, police urge you to call Crime Line at (806) 741-1000. There is a $500 reward and callers can remain anonymous.
