Lights On For Life Scheduled Friday

Over 42,000 people were killed in traffic accidents last year in the United States, almost half were alcohol related.

The Injury Prevention Coalition, Lubbock Police and Sheriff's Departments and Mothers Against Drunk Driving asks you to turn on your lights to save lives. Friday, December 10th is Lights for Lives Day, they ask that you leave your headlights and porch lights on all day in remembrance of victims of drunk driving.

A MADD spokesperson says already this year there have been more drunk driving incidents than in past years.
