"Monday we started out with rain and wind and hail and it was great and people brought us food which is a wonderful thing. It just keeps piling in. The Lubbock community... I say it every year, is a wonderful place to be. They genuinely care about people and are always willing to help. This week is going great and has been great and we look forward to a big Saturday with the scouts and wrapping it up", said Kyle Rogers.

"I take my vacation this first week of December every year. This is my good deed for the year. The Lubbock community comes through every year and we appreciate that... can't do it without you", stated Elaine Chaney.

"I've been getting my hands dirty. They are filthy. I've been loading these cans into buckets but it's been real worthwhile." "I believe it was a coach from Frenship High School that came by. He heard it on the radio. He didn't have just the 50 cans I had asked for, he had about 500 cans of food and probably 30 cases of Ramen noodles", remarked Landon King.
