Lubbock Symphony Orchestra to host free family concert

Provided by Lubbock Symphony Orchestra

The Lubbock Symphony Orchestra has partnered with Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church to host its free Family Concert entitled WATER MUSIC October 26 in order to expose a live symphony orchestra to members of the community who have not yet had this experience.

The annual concert will be held in conjunction with the church's Fall Festival, adding to the event's many activities designed to interact with families in a fun and educational setting.

LSO activities include an instrument petting zoo, conducting and dance stations, face painting, a make-your-own-instrument station, and food will also be available for purchase through the church.

The Lubbock Symphony's Music Director Maestro David Cho will engage the audience by presenting information about the compositions they will hear and introducing age-appropriate concepts for children.

The concert will feature musical selections by Haydn and Handel. Families are encouraged to dress up in their best child-friendly Halloween costumes; this event is open to everyone.

FAMILY CONCERT – October 26, Activities: 5:00PM, Concert: 6:30PM, Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, 3111 Erskine.

Additional information about the Lubbock Symphony's FAMILY CONCERT can be found on the LSO website at www.lubbocksymphony.org.
