A Lubbock man could spend up to 20 years in prison for the death of his friend.

25-year-old Emmanuel Duran is charged with intoxicated manslaughter in the death of Damion Rodriguez in October of 2001. Police say Duran and his brother mixed alcohol and street racing following a birthday celebration. During the race, their cars bumped each other, causing both drivers to lose control. Rodriguez was ejected from Duran's vehicle and killed. Duran's brother was also indicted for manslaughter and aggravated assault.

Duran faces a possible two to twenty years in prison.
