How ironic that the most joyful time of the year could be the most deadly.
First the bad news, that Christmas Day, the day after Christmas and New Year's Day are the three deadliest days of the year, according to a study from the University of California. It turns out a big part of that is because people feel too busy or too festive to seek medical attention on those days. Researchers based their findings on a review of 53 million death certificates over 18 years.
So the good news is what we can learn from this, that if you are traveling this holiday season and experience pain in your chest or any other troubling symptoms, do not put it aside until after your holiday fun. Be sure to get help when you first need it.
