Weather Finally Permits Farmers To Pick Fields

South Plains Cotton farmers are taking advantage of the recent dry weather to harvest their fields.

About half of the South Plains cotton has now been harvested. That's up tremendously from two weeks ago, when only 17% had been picked.

    A Brownfield man has been indicted by a grand jury on multiple charges after a wrong-way hit-and-run crash were stolen guns were recovered. The hit-and-run crash happened just before 9:30 p.m. on February 22, 2017 near 130th Street and Indiana Ave.
