Authorities say the quick reaction of a Lubbock County mother helped save the life of her baby.
Around 2:30pm Wednesday afternoon, 911 received a call about a possible drowning at a home on Woodrow Road.
Lt. Cody Scott with the Lubbock Sheriff's Office says that an 8-month-old baby fell over in the bath tub and inhaled some water. His mother then tried to come to the rescue.
"The mother was able to perform some resuscitative action, and was able to get the child able to breathe again," said Lt. Scott.
According to Lt. Scott, the child was flown to a Lubbock hospital for observation, but he is expected to be okay.
The testimony could shed light on concerns about the security risk posed by Trump's first national security adviser.
