Music fans first heard him on the radio, six months before Elvis in the 1950's. Thursday night, Pat Boone brought his career of more than 50 years to Lubbock.
"I think a lot of people may get the idea with the onslaught of hip hop and rappers with numbers for names and numbers across their chest, ODB and P. Diddy, you know some people may think P. Boone retired, but no... I'm back with a vengeance and I'm ready to rock." Boone said.
Boone is best known for his classic hits "Ain't That A Shame" and "Tutti Frutti." He says you can expect to hear all those classics and plenty of Christmas and patriotic music at the concert.
The concert was held at the Lubbock Municipal Auditorium.
