Five Injured in Head-on Collision

DPS officials say a drunk driver hit a car head-on sending a family of five to the hospital. Two of them are fighting for their life.

Jaws of life was used to free all five people from the car. They were transported to Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock, two of them by Aerocare.

Forty year-old David Davila and 9 year-old Diamond are listed in critical condition. 11 year-old Paul Anthony is listed in serious condition. Forty one year-old Mary Davila, who is pregnant, and 10 year-old Jonathan are listed in fair condition.

Lucus, the driver of the suburban, was taken to the Hale County Jail. She has been charged with driving while intoxicated.
