Snow, sleet, rain or shine, the U.S. Post Office will deliver...and Wednesday was no different.
It's the busiest delivery day of the year and Lubbock mail carriers are delivering one-million cards, letters and packages. On top of that, carriers are being delayed by falling snow, and slick sidewalks. "They just told us to take it easy, go slow, try not to fall, take shorter steps," said Lubbock Mail Carrier, Randy Jackson.
Carriers say the weather and extra volume of mail is slowing down delivery time by about 45 minutes. So, they ask you to be patient if you're expecting any special deliveries this week.
