You don't have to be 65 anymore to ask for your flu shot. The age range has widened now to include youngsters age 50 and over.
Texas is actually following a suggestion from the Centers for Disease Control now that more flu shots are coming in from companies overseas. But don't go to the Lubbock Health Department for your shot if you're an adult. They've given all they have to give this year, except for kids.
Adults on the list for protection now will have to call a private doctor to get their flu shot because it is still a limited supply, but private physicians are finally getting their shipments.
