DPS Troopers Say Lubbock Roads Were Safe Over Holiday Weekend

Lubbock County roads were relatively safe over the holiday weekend.

DPS officials told NewsChannel 11 that they responded to about seven accidents from 6 p.m. Thursday to midnight Sunday.

DPS doubled the amount of troopers patrolling the roadways during "Operation CARE." Troopers are watching out for speeders, those drinking and driving and drivers not wearing their seat belts.
