Big changes could be on the way for the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services.

A soon to be released legislative report is expected to call for sweeping changes in the way workers are trained and dramatic funding increases. The report will also ask for higher pay and reduced loads for case workers. The changes are expected after a series of children died under the supervision of Child Protective Services.
