The blood supply at United Blood Services continues to dwindle.

UBS is now out of O-negative, B-negative and B-positive. Increased demand and a lack of donations over the holidays have left supplies low. If the supply continues to fall, surgeries could be postponed.

What is it Like to Donate Blood? The blood donation process is easy. Most donors find it a painless and heartwarming experience.

UBS will be open from 9 to 6 Wednesday. You can make an appointment by calling (806) 741-1752. Or just stop by UBS at 48th and University.

In order to donate, you must be at least 17-years-old, in good health, and weigh at least 110 pounds. Remember to bring a valid ID.
