Monday, during his trial, Eddie Camargo pleaded guilty in a Lubbock County Courtroom. According to his indictment, Camargo hit his wife with a bat and choked her with a cord inside their Slaton home. The incident happened on April 20th of 2004. Camargo was arrested later that night after authorities say he tried to drive his car off a cliff on County Road 3600, near Ransom Canyon.
The punishment phase continues Wednesday.
