Solder using cold heat. Sounds strange but it's true. This little cordless device is supposed to heat up instantly and cool down fast enough you can touch it. It's about 20 bucks, but Does It Work?
Pete Castillo is a TV repairman at C&M TV Service. "I'm going to test it on this TV print to see if it solders," said Pete. "It looks like it's getting hot on the spot that I want," he said.
Pete solders the wires together. "This solder is what's holding it together. It won't come off. And that (the tip) is not hot," noticed Pete.
The Cold Heat Soldering tool is also supposed to repair jewelry. So, we found jewelry repairman Wayne Casteel at the Jewelry Hospital. Wayne says with a little bit of practice, this soldering tool would work for anyone doing some handy work around the house.
Both men really liked the Cold Heat Soldering tool and would recommend it to anyone. It works!
