Lubbock firefighters responded to three fires, two of which damaged homes Wednesday night.
The first fire started in a mobile home park around seven o'clock Wednesday night near 114th Street and University. Officials at the scene say no one was home at the time. The cause of the fire is under investigation by the fire marshall's office, but fire fighters say the mobile home is a total loss.
Something in the attic started a fire at a home in the 3500 Block of 63rd Drive. According to Lubbock Firefighters, it happened around 9 o'clock Wednesday night. No one was inside the house when it started. Firefighters were able to put the flames out quickly, but the roof still smoldering during the night.
