Lubbock Police Search For Suspect In Attempted Kidnapping

The search continues for an attempted kidnapping suspect. It happened last Tuesday in the 2200 Block Alley of 49th Street.

That's where Lubbock Police say a Hispanic man approached two girls, ages 9 and 10, about a lost dog. One girl ran away, while the man forced the other into his vehicle. She said she jumped out and escaped when he began to drive away.

Police say the man they are looking for has wavy hair, and may have a scar or bruise on the left side of his neck. He may also have a mole on his face. He was driving a red 1998 to 2000 model Chevy Blazer...or similar design with tinted windows, a luggage rack and texas plates. There was damage to the right front area of the vehicle.
