Lubbock Woman Pleads Guilty to Federal Drug Charge

From Mexico to Lubbock and now to jail. A 27-year-old Lubbock woman faces up to 40 years in prison and a $2 million dollar fine for the possession of cocaine and the intention to sell it.

Lee Ann Rodriguez was arrested in September when authorities observed her leave a bus terminal with three bags. A traffic stop later revealed one of the bags consisted of 1,200 grams of cocaine.

Rodriguez pleaded guilty to a federal drug charge Thursday.
