At the top of the list this week is a steakhouse that's been in business in Lubbock for nearly 38 years, plenty of time to get their cleanliness routine down packed. Manager in Training, Michelle Villalobos, says, "We clean every minute. We're always cleaning."

Inside Bryan's Steakhouse at 1212 50th Street, you're hard pressed to find a dull moment. Known for having delicious steaks at affordable prices, the customers keep flooding in. So, with all the hub-bub, how do they keep it clean? Villalobos says, "We work as a team. We're hard working, very hard working. We want the customers to be happy". And that, in turn, makes health inspectors happy. They gave Bryan's a perfect score during their last health inspection. Villalobos says, "It makes us feel good, really good. It makes us feel good knowing our customers are gonna come back."

For all those Bryan's Steakhouse fans, good news, Bryan's is opening up a second location near FM-1585 and Slide next month.

Big E's Grill at 1802 Buddy Holly Avenue keeps his loyals coming back for those after the bar munchies, but last week, health inspectors doled out five critical violations.

  • Shredded cheese was not date marked.
  • The hand washing station did not have paper-towels.
  • Spray bottles containing toxic substances were not properly labeled.
  • A bathroom was not provided for employees.
  • Cooking utensils were soiled.

Four of the critical violations were corrected on site. A manager could not be reached for comment.
