New Developments in East Lubbock Homicide

Lubbock Police now have new information in a local homicide investigation. 20-year-old Martreon Moore was shot December 20th in East Lubbock. The investigation has led police to new witnesses who have helped uncover who may have been involved in the shooting.

Reports say Moore was shot near East Bates and Cherry, he then ran to a nearby house and asked the homeowner to call 9-1-1. At the time, the caller was the only known witness. As her 9-1-1 call reveals, even she couldn't provide much information. The following is part of the 9-1-1 call that took place December 21st, at 2:31 a.m.:

Caller: "I heard the gunshots."

EMS: "Okay, you just saw that somebody ran off, but you don't have any information on the person."

Caller: "I saw this kid running up toward my house."

EMS: "What can you tell me about him?"

Caller: "I don't know, he's in my chair, I think he's already dead."

Investigators are looking for a vehicle that may have been involved. They ask you to call Crime Line at (806) 741-1000 , if you see a large blue sedan with a silver stripe on the side.
