Truck Rolls Over Nearly Hitting South Lubbock Home - KCBD NewsChannel 11 Lubbock

Excessive speed and alcohol are likely to blame for a pickup landing in the front yard of a South Lubbock home.

The accident happened around 8:30pm Sunday night, in the 6600 Block of Joliet. Police say the pickup was headed West on Joliet Drive at a high rate of speed when the driver lost control. The truck jumped the curb and landed on its side, narrowly missing a house.

33-year-old John Eckart of Lubbock, was taken into custody and charged with driving while intoxicated.
