LISD Students Turn Cents Into Tsunami Dollars - KCBD NewsChannel 11 Lubbock

The "From Lubbock With Love" campaign is a citywide effort to raise $1 million by February 14th for tsunami victims. Lubbock ISD students are helping that effort "one-penny at a time."

Pennies were asked for, but students at Bayless Elementary turned their pennies into nickels, dimes and dollars. It was all part of the student's efforts to bring about what they called "A Wave of Change." One student even broke his piggy bank and donated more than $97.

The week-long effort has raised more than $1,200.
