The Lubbock Chamber of Commerce will voice concerns over water when it meets with the Texas Legislature next Tuesday in Austin. That's when the House and Senate set aside time to hear political issues important to the Lubbock region.
On Tuesday the chamber met with local business leaders to announce its agenda. "We want to visit with them about our concerns with Texas Tech University, water issues, public school funding," said Linda Gaither, Chamber of Commerce Chairperson.
The chamber expects nearly 150 Lubbock business and city leaders to attend the event.
