Market Street Theft Could Result In Attempted Capital Murder Charges

On Saturday, two under cover Lubbock Sheriff's Deputies working security at Market Street, noticed a suspect stealing some packages of meat. They approached the suspect, but he fled the store and jumped into a pickup truck in the parking lot.

The two deputies surrounded the truck. But the driver, a second suspect took off - dragging both officers. The officers suffered only minor injuries, mostly cuts and bruises.

But as a result, both suspects could face attempted capital murder charges.
