NTSB Preliminary Report On Abernathy Plane Crash Expected This Week

The NTSB says information about what caused Thursday's fatal plane crash near Abernathy, may already be available this week.

Timothy Vaughn of Shallowater and his 8-year-old daughter Madeline both died in the crash. The plane took off from a private airstrip near Shallowater around 5:50pm Thursday, and crashed about 20 minutes later.

The NTSB sent the aircraft's engine to Washington D.C. to help determine why the plane went down.
